Generate copper isolation toolpaths

Plan PCB copper isolation with V-bits, multiple passes and optional larger-tool clearing. Preview separate top and bottom paths in CircuitMill.

V-bits and isolation passes

Select a V-bit or end mill, set cutting depth and choose the number and overlap of isolation passes. A V-bit's effective cutting width depends on its tip size, included angle and cutting depth.

Clear larger copper areas

Use an optional larger-diameter tool to clear accessible unwanted copper. Keep fine isolation and larger-tool clearing as separate operations so each can use appropriate feeds and depths.

Review each side

Generate top and bottom copper paths independently. Inspect the preview and resolve import or geometry errors before sending a frozen operation to the milling queue.

Enable JavaScript to import boards, generate toolpaths and use the milling console. PCB files are processed locally in your browser.
