Cut out the PCB with holding tabs
Generate PCB outline milling paths with stepdowns and holding tabs. Preview internal openings and the final outside cutout before exporting GRBL G-code.
Choose a cutout tool
Select an end mill and configure the cutting depth and stepdown for the stock thickness. Review tool clearance and secure the board and any loose waste pieces.
Keep the board attached with tabs
Set holding-tab count, width and thickness. Tabs are placed on exterior contours and appear in the toolpath preview. Internal openings are cut through without tabs.
Cut out last
Finish copper isolation and drilling before releasing the board. CircuitMill plans internal openings before the external perimeter and exports the cutout as a separate operation.
